Submit building and subtrade permit applications, request inspections, pay your fees and view your permit status.

After you register, you can login to the myBuild web portal by clicking on the Sign In link to submit and manage your permits, and inspection requests.

ANNOUNCEMENT As of January 1st, 2023:

Alberta Municipal Affairs has recently clarified that as outlined in STANDATA 19-BCI-000 Manufactured Engineering Components, seals and signatures from an ASET/APEGA licensed professional in accordance with the APEGA Standards of Practice are required on the following documentation for a building permit application:

  • Roof truss layouts and specification sheets
  • Floor truss layouts and specification sheets
  • Floor joist layouts where the manufactured components use falls outside the conditions and limitations stated within the CCMC evaluation report for the product
  • Floor joist layouts where the AHJ cannot verify conformance of the manufactured component to the CCMC evaluation report
  • All truss and joist modifications and repair details

    Understanding that this information and direction may require time for Builders and Manufacturers to adapt to, Rocky View County will grant a short grace period, commencing enforcement of the STANDATA beginning January 1, 2023.


  • The personal information provided as part of this application is collected under the Safety Codes Act and the Municipal Government Act and in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The information is required and will be used for issuing permits, safety codes compliance verification and monitoring and property assessment purposes. The name of the permit holder and the nature of the permit is available to the public upon request.
